A (Riveting) Tale of Three Data Sets

So how is the market? Here’s a perspective we don’t talk about as much. Maybe because it’s not that interesting? Market activity is often measured by homes sold or home listed for sale. Another perspective is how many people are actually booking appointments to go in and see homes (showings). Here it is. In North America as of August 8, 2022, showings have fallen faster at this time of year than in either of the two prior years. In Utah (for those of you with daughters buying homes there this week), showings are steady vs last year but still down from early Covid days. And, drum roll, in our own Kentucky, we are steady as she goes, about the same level as each of the two prior years. Seems like Kentucky is a good place to invest in real estate.
